POLICY RESEARCH NETWORK
In recent years, global legal frameworks such as the VPA/FLEGT Agreement, the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), and international forest carbon initiatives have posed increasingly strict requirements regarding supply chain transparency, resource management, and sustainable development. Additionally, Vietnam is strongly implementing commitments to carbon neutrality, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable agricultural and forestry development. Against this backdrop, a group of universities, research institutes, and associations in the agricultural and forestry sectors have agreed to establish the Agriculture and Forestry Policy Research Network.

The network currently has nearly

MEMBERS
including representatives from Vietnam National University of Forestry, Thai Nguyen University, Tay Nguyen University, Tay Bac University, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment, Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University, Nong Lam University HCMC, Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnamese Academy of Forest Sciences, and the Vietnam Agricultural Economics and Rural Development Association.
OPERATING MECHANISM
The Network was founded by universities, research institutes, and associations in the agricultural and forestry sectors, operating with an open, cooperative, and egalitarian spirit. It aims for collective progress and information exchange through conferences/workshops, emails, or online social platforms. The Network serves as both an academic and policy forum, acting as a collaborative hub to foster dialogue, cooperation, and knowledge transfer.
Network members are encouraged to share their experiences and knowledge on topics related to Vietnam's agricultural and forestry policies. With diverse participation, the Network is expected to become an environment for rich and high-quality information and knowledge exchange, contributing to the formulation of mechanisms, policies, and practical actions to implement commitments on carbon neutrality, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable agricultural and forestry development in Vietnam.
