On August 18, 2026, representatives from VIFOREST, Gia Lai Wood and Forest Products Association, Plywood Sub-association, and Wood pellets Sub-association, along with approximately 50 representatives from wood industry enterprises, attended a meeting to exchange, discuss, and propose recommendations related to the content of the Timber Declaration Form.
The meeting took place as the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment was amending Circular 26 on the management and traceability of forest products. In this process, the Timber Declaration Form is considered an important input source, assisting businesses in implementing traceability and meeting legal requirements for forest products.
At the meeting, representatives from enterprises directly using and implementing the Timber Declaration Form shared many practical opinions and proposed adjustments to certain contents to make the form more suitable for the production, processing, and circulation of forest products. The opinions and recommendations were assessed as practical, reflecting the difficulties and obstacles that businesses are currently facing in the implementation process.
Based on the opinions from the meeting, representatives from wood industry associations and relevant parties will compile and document the enterprises' recommendations to submit them to VNFOREST – the focal agency responsible for the amendment process of Circular 26.
